Mukura Victory Sports defender Soter Kayumba believes his side can do even better in the second half of the 2023/24 Primus National League and finish in a better position on the table standings. The Huye-based club finished the first round in fifth position with 23 points after 15 games and Kayumba is optimistic the second round will be much better for his team. I can say the first round was not bad. I’m impressed with Mukura’s output in the first round as you have seen the league is a little bit hard, Kayumba told Times Sport. We finished 5th in the first round and I am optimistic we can improve upon that. Our team is good and we play with my telepathic understanding. All teams are strong because of the influx of foreign players which is very good. We are preparing hard for the second round now, putting in more energy, he added. Mukura Victory Sports return to action in the league on January 13 when they host Amagaju in the Southern Prince derby at the Huye Stadium.
