Editor, RE: “US elections and what we could learn from the circus” (The New Times, October 30). What point the writer is trying to put across? He compares one candidates illegal handling of classified material (state secrets) with anothers legal nondisclosure of tax returns when under audit. He seems to ignore or are not informed that candidates are not required, by law, to disclose their tax returns. The writer seems to suggest that President Barrack Obama leaves behind a legacy. Well, if you look at Department of Justices interference in the FBI investigation of Secretary Clintons handling of state secrets, if you look at Obamas cover-up and lies that he learned about Clintons illegal server in the media, but the revelations by WikiLeaks that he actually knew the server way back when Clinton was Secretary of State, the state of affairs in the US is “sad and disgrace”, according to Trump.
