Munyakazi’s extradition by US should serve as example to others
Earlier this week, Leopold Munyakazi, who was being pursued by Rwandan justice for his involvement in the Genocide committed against the Tutsi in 1994, was finally extradited to Rwanda from the United States. His extradition came after years of a spirited campaign by different groups like Genocide survivors, Prosecution and the National Commission for the fight against the Genocide (CNLG), detailing his role in the Genocide in which over a million innocent people were killed.
