Rwanda has maintained the 87th position, yet the ranking took them off the summit to stand third in the Cecafa region behind Uganda (83rd) and Kenya (85). Uganda is the biggest mover as it leaped 12 positions. Uganda climbed above Kenya and Rwanda despite both teams qualifying for the next phase of qualifiers and they didn’t. Rwanda’s rival in the third round of the 2010 World/Nations Cup, Egypt has moved up one place to 21 while Zambia has dropped one position to occupy 71st position and Algeria has also gone down seven places to 63rd. Cameroon remains Africa’s top-rated national side but has slipped down the world table in the latest Fifa rankings. The Indomitable Lions have dropped two places to 14, four behind England, who are back in the top ten. Egypt has gone up one place whilst Nigeria climb five because of their perfect record in the latest stage of qualifying for the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations in 2010. Ghana is in fourth place on the continental list, but drops back a single place in the world table to 26. Africa’s biggest climbers are Uganda and Namibia, who both leap 12 positions up the table. The biggest losers are Mauritania, who drops 15 places. Spain remained at the top spot in the whole world followed by Germany, Italy and Netherlands respectively, while Brazil dropped one more place from 4th to 5th. Their arch rivals, Argentina instead, climbed one spot from 7th to 6th. Ends
