You may already know him. He is a former member of “Soldier,” a music band of three teenage boys. But Emery Gastinzi, fondly called Rider Man, plans to go solo in the music career, with a clean slate. Three years ago, the courageous musician made a life changing decision to join the music world. God has blessed him as he is slated to release his new debut album on December 28. “The reason I decided to go solo is because I wanted to make my dream in music come true. This would probably be hard to realise, if I had stayed in the group,” says the 22-year-old, who left his post as lead singer of the group early last year. He tapped talents from Choga Style and his aunt Queen Ally to hit the music scene, and promises to show the world that his talent in music has matured. Rider Man, a student at Kigali Independent University (ULK) also tries games like basketball. Born to Etienne Rukwavu and mother Peruth Kantetere, Rider Man is the first born in the family of five. The young rapper also plans to embark on a concert tour in December, hopefully with Rafiki and other local musicians. He has so far produced “Rutanderi” and “Igitendo mudutendo” hits currently playing on local Fm radio stations. Ends
