Gicumbi FC have signed former Musanze FC coach Hussein Baraka for a one-year deal as their new head coach to replace Emmanuel Ruremesha who joined Etincelles in July. Baraka Hussein. Baraka’s first task will be to guide the new team to a respectable eighth position, according to the Secretary General of the team Antoine Dukuzumuremyi. “We have tasked Baraka to guide us to the top eight positions in first leg matches, and then we can discuss to renew his contract,” Dukuzumuremyi said. “We believe that Baraka can do a good job because of his experience and knowledge of Rwandan football. We have set him tasks of bringing back glory to Gicumbi.” Baraka said that he has already embarked on his new task, which he believes can be achieved through team work. “The idea is to perform better this season and the good thing is that I have been working in Rwanda for a long time. It is a new challenge for me but I believe I can be successful,” he said. The team has started training ahead of the new season which is supposed to start in September.
