NEWLY promoted national football league side Pipinierre FC are in talks with former Rayon Sports forward, Jean Baptiste Kayiranga to serve as their new head coach. Club Chairman Jean Marie Munyankumburwa said the club wants to benefit from the experience of Kayiranga as they battle to stay in the topflight division. Pepiniere FC emerged the winner of the 2016 Second Division League title after edging Kirehe FC 4-3 on penalties two weeks ago. Both Pepiniere FC and Kirehe FC will compete in the 2016/17 national football league, replacing AS Muhanga and Rwamagana City, which were relegated last season. “Sure we are in talks with him (Kayiranga) and we are doing everything possible to get him so he can start working at anytime. We have not agreed with him but we will confirm to you as soon as possible,” Munyankumburwa said. “Kayiranga will bring massive experience which we desperately need because the Club is not in a healthy position now,” Munyankumburwa added. Kayiranga, a former Rayon and Amavubi player, was sacked by Mukura two years ago after a string of poor results. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
