Rwanda men’s national handball team is in residential training camp in preparation for the Africa Zone 5 Championship scheduled for August 24-30 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The 20-man provisional squad, which will be reduced to 16, is training in Kigoma district since July 24. The team is under the tutelage of coach Sylvestre Mudaharishema and his assistant, Anaclet Bagirishya. The coaches will be tasked to select a team that will also compete in the qualifiers of the 23rd Men’s Junior African Nations Championship slated from September 11-10 in Bamako, Mali. The Africa youth category competition will act as the qualifiers for the 21st World Championship 2017 edition which ill be held in Algeria’s coastal city of Oran. 20-man provisional squad: Credo Bruno (GS Muyange), Martin Sindayigaya (GS Kimisagara), Rene Mutoni (GS Muyange), Cedric Murisanze (ES Kigoma), Albert Musoni (GS Kabusunzu), Gadi Igirimpuhwe (ES Kigoma), Samuel Mbasutunguwe (GS Kimisagara).
