Hopital la Croix du Sud provides Excellent Healthcare services in Rwanda

By Minnie Karanja La Croix du Sud Hospital is a private hospital that provides medical care services. The hospital was started after the end of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis to respond to the urgent need for medical care among the population. It began as a small clinic and in 1998 it became a polyclinic and later in October, 2009 it was awarded Hospital status. The capacity of the hospital has increased over the years and it now has 102 beds (including emergency beds), 28 Doctors, 63 Nurses, 16 Lab Technicians and 5 Anesthetists. The vision of the Hospital is to become one of the best health institutions in Rwanda and in the region by strengthening both preventive and curative medical care services. The mission of the hospital is to offer quality medical care with good service delivery to patients (Customer care) through the use of modern medical technology and professionalism. The values of the Hospital To achieve excellence in Health care service, the hospital is inspired by the following values: Integrity Respect Determination to offer the best quality services Empathy towards the patients Reinforce Teamwork spirit Services provided: Gynecology-obstetric Internal medicine Pediatrics & neonatology ICU ORL/ENT Surgery(General surgery and mini invasive surgery) Dermatology General medicine Dentistry & Orthodontics Physiotherapy Emergency service Family planning Prevention Medicine Hospitalization Laboratory Imagery(X-Ray, U.S) Pharmacy Catering Preventive Medicine The vision of the Hospital is beyond the curative medicine and goes towards to preventive medicine by giving different services as follows: Screening of cervical cancer Screening of breast cancer General Screening Prostate Vaccination of children: (TB, Polio, PENTA, PNEUMOCOCCAL, ROTAVIRUS, MEASLE, RUBELLA, TETANOS) Vaccination for adult: Vaccination of cervical cancer (Cervarix) Vaccination of Hepatitis B Vaccination of Tetanos (serum antitetanos and vaccine).
