The Government on December 14 made changes aimed at enhancing policy and support for arts and culture. Due to the changes, the Ministry of Youth (MINIYOUTH) absorbed the arts portfolio, previously under the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement (MINUBUMWE). The Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement will retain the responsibility for the Cultural Heritage portfolio.
