In a move that is set to redefine the music scene in Rwanda, three talented Rwandan deejays Platy Wanyama, Dallas and Selecta Danny are gearing up to launch a revolutionary monthly music experience, ‘Crescendo Music Xperience’. The inaugural Crescendo Music Xperience which aims at electrifying celebration of diverse musical genres is scheduled to kick off on December 9, blending cultural appreciation and a vibrant atmosphere at the Iwacu plus 250 open spaces. Gates will open at 2pm. According to Platy Wanyama, each event will feature a specific genre carefully chosen by the deejays and attendees are encouraged to dress according to the cultural and historical roots of that genre. “As the curtains rise on the Crescendo Music Xperience, Rwandans and music enthusiasts alike can look forward to a revolutionary celebration of sound, culture, and much fun. We are excited to have all music enthusiasts so, mark your calendars, dress according to the theme, and prepare for a musical journey like never before,” said Platy. The deejays have curated a lineup of genres, ranging from classic Afro grooves to contemporary pop, and everything in between. With a commitment to diversity, the Crescendo Music Xperience will showcase the evolution of music over time, allowing attendees to witness the cultural significance of each genre. Rwandan music spotlight While the event promises a hyped musical journey, the organisers have not forgotten their roots. At every Crescendo Music Xperience, there will be a dedicated segment celebrating Rwandan music. The Crescendo Music Xperience is not a one-time affair; it is a bi-monthly spectacle that music lovers can anticipate with excitement. The event will take place on Saturdays, twice a month and this musical celebration is open to everyone, as entry to the event is completely free of charge.
