Editor, RE: “The Paris Agreement: An opportunity for Rwanda” (The New Times, April 23). Among the many firsts, Rwanda was the first country to commit to nationwide landscape restoration through forest planting, terracing and soil restoration. It is very encouraging to read that the Green Fund in Muhanga District is employing 700 young Rwandans in nurseries to care for seedlings that will protect Nyabarongo River from soil erosion. Here we see how through Government’s initiative, there is substantial employment generation so vital in today’s day and age. Remarkable Rwanda will continue to cease opportunities like the Paris Agreement in her quest for excellence. Clarence Fernandes
