Editor, RE: “Leon Mugesera gets life term for Genocide crimes” (The New Times, April 16). I really wish Léon Mugesera a very long life, contemplating the fact that, in the end, despite the Genocide against his Tutsi compatriots, for which he was among the principal ideologues, his cherished hopes of a Rwanda in which its Tutsi citizenry had become a mere, faint memory and in which every Hutu had been complicit in the wholesale murder of Tutsi never came to pass. For me, this is the best recompense for a man combining such a vile heart with a malevolent intellect.Death for his ilk would be an undeserved release. MK
