The Francis Haringingo show at Bugesera FC began with a 4-2 thrilling victory over Police FC at Bugesera Stadium in Nyamata on Tuesday. Bugesera didn't let Police FC settle as they shocked them in the second minute with the opener through David Byiringiro. The goal left the visitors disorganized as they chased the game from the early stages. Vincent Mashami's side quickly warmed themselves into the game and dominated possession with significant interposition plays. Police FC piled pressure on Bugesera and eventually got the equalizer through a Pacifique Dukundane own goal in the 38th minute. Bienvenue Mugenzi could have given the law enforcers the lead minutes later only to see his effort go wide as both teams headed into the half tilme break level at 1-1. They played a very compact game at the back and opened up upfront as they pinned their opponent to their own half. Elijah Ani powered Bugesera ahead with a sublime finish in the 57th minute in which goalkeeper Onesime Rukundo had no chance to save but Mashami’s side quickly reorganized themselves and they responded immediately with an equalizer through Abedi Bigirimana in 64th minute. Bugesera again proved to be a dark horse for Police as two more goals from Ani and Leonard Gakwaya in the 80th and 87th minutes respectively put Police FC to the sword to hand their side a 4-2 victory, their first in eight games. Other games Struggling Sunrise FC travelled to Kigali to beat Gorilla FC 2-0. Experienced striker Samson Babua got the opener for the visitors in the 54th minute before Brian Ssali doubled the lead late in the 94th minute. Elsewhere at Huye Stadium, Musanze FC beat home side Amagaju 2-0. Lethabo Methaba opened the scoring in the 31st minute before Peter Agblevor, fresh from a three-match suspension, got the second in the 48th minute. At Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu, Marines FC compounded the woes of Etoile de l'Est as they beat the newly-promoted side 3-2.
