The local bourse was quiet yesterday, with no shares and Treasury bonds exchanging hands on both the equity and bond market segments, the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market report indicates. Most counters received some bids, but investors were offering less than the asking share price of holders. The Bralirwa counter received the highest bid of 480,000 shares at Rwf158, but the 26,400 shares on offer were at Rwf174. Bank of Kigali, on the other hand, had outstanding offers of 302,500 shares ranging from Rwf280-300, but there were no bids. The other most active counter, Crystal Telecom got outstanding offers of 199,100 shares between Rwf92-98 and outstanding bids of 15,100 shares at Rwf90. On KCB counter there was an outstanding offer of 9,700 shares at Rwf340 and no bids. The RSE Share Index and the All Share Index were unchanged, closing at 146.28 and 130.54 points, respectively. Bralirwa closed at Rwf174, the Bank of Kigali counter was at Rwf280, while Crystal Telecom closed at Rwf93. Equity Bank closed at Rwf334, NMG at Rwf1,200, KCB at Rwf330, and Uchumi Supermarkets was at Rwf104. On the bond market, there were outstanding bids of Rwf1.1 million worth of bonds at between Rwf100 and Rwf104, but there were no offers.
