In a mini cabinet reshuffle, announced last evening by the Office of the Prime Minister, Odda Gasinzigwa was dropped as the Minister for Gender and Family Promotion (Migeprof) and replaced with Dr Diane Gashumba. Dr Gashumba has been working in the health sector, and previously served as director of Kibagabaga and Muhima hospitals. The Permanent Secretary in Migeprof, Henriette Umulisa, was also replaced with Jacqueline Kamanzi. Umulisa assumes a new role at the National Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission as secretary-general as well as the chief budget officer, a new position created at the commission. Kamanzi has been the executive secretary of the National Women’s Council. Other changes include appointment of Jack Kayonga as chief executive of Agaciro Development Fund, a sovereign fund to which Rwandans have contributed more than Rwf30 billion to finance development projects in the country. Kayonga replaces Vianney Kagabo, who passed away last year. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
