Dear editor, I am happy that funny bushy hedges commonly known as Imiyenzi in Kinyarwanda, are no longer accepted in Kigali City. We have a similar problem in Rwamagana town, in the Eastern province. People were ordered to renovate their houses, but they (houses) will never look smart, if they are surrounded or neighbouring Imiyenzi. Imiyenzi that only breeds thieves and mosquitoes surrounds all other parts of the town-the houses and land demarcations. Why can’t local leaders realize the importance of banning the funny hedges? Please if they cannot see it as important, advise them. In the meantime, kudos to KCC for seeing the light. These leaders truly have a vision to transform Kigali into a metropolis. Rwamagana
