Nsengimana wins Stage 5 in Tour du Cameroun

Eric Nduwayo 3:11:33 Riding for Stradalli - Bike Aid, Rwanda international Jean-Bosco Nsengimana won stage 5 of the ongoing 13th edition of Tour du Cameroun on Wednesday afternoon, crossing the finish line 53 seconds ahead of homeboy Jeremie Nseke, who finished second. Racing from Douala to Kumba on a total distance of 120 kilometers, Nsengimana had an average speed of 40.111km per hour. The Tour du Rwanda reigning champion, Nsengimana, who joined the Germany team, Bike Aid two months ago, also jumped from 24th to 19th in the general classification of the week-long UCI 2.2 category race, running from March 12 to 20. Team Rwanda front-runner Gasore Hategeka finished in the fourth place, 54 seconds behind Nsengimana. Abraham Ruhumuriza finished 13th, Camera Hakuzimana (17), Mathieu Twizerane (23), Ephrem Tuyishime (25) while Eric Nduwayo came on the 38th position out of 45 cyclists, who finished the race—three riders failed to finish. In general classification, Hakuzimana is Team Rwanda’s highest placed in 5th place, 2 minutes and 18 seconds behind leader Amine Mohmed Errafai (16:59:38) of Morocco.
