Only Crystal Telecom counter active

There was low activity at the local bourse yesterday, with Crystal Telecom the only active counter, the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) for Monday indicates. The firm recorded a total turnover of Rwf3.6 million from 38,600 shares transacted in three deals. The counter closed at Rwf98, unchanged from the previous trading session on Friday. All the other counters were quiet, with Equity Bank closing at Rwf334, Nation Media Group was at Rwf1,200, while KCB was unchanged at Rwf330, and Bank of Kigali at Rwf 280. Bralirwa was at Rwf174 and Uchumi Supermarket limited at Rwf104. The Rwanda Stock Index and All Share Index were unchanged yesterday, closing at 146.79 and 130.60 points, respectively. At the end of the formal trading hours there were outstanding offers on the Bank of Kigali counter of 73,900 shares at between Rwf280 and Rwf290 and no bids. On the Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 301,200 shares at Rwf174 and no buyers. Crystal Telecom had outstanding offers of 1.4 million shares at between Rwf98 and Rwf106 and outstanding bids for 49,100 shares at between Rwf90 and 96. On the KCB counter, there was an outstanding offer of 9,700 shares at Rwf340. On the bond market, there were outstanding bids for Rwf 50.3 million worth of bonds at between Rwf101 and rwf102, but no offers.
