Jwaneng Galaxy head coach Morena Ramoreboli was not impressed by some Moroccan journalists who accused him of using black magic, also known as juju”, after his side stunned African giants Wydad AC 1-0 during Saturday’s opening game of the CAF Champions League group stages at Stade Marrakech. Galaxy went into the Group B encounter as underdogs, as bookmakers and the sports media fraternity across Africa predicted that the Botswana champions would suffer a heavy defeat at the hands of Wydad AC. Ramoreboli’s side, however, shocked the three-time CAF Champions League winners before their home fans as Thabang Sesinyl’s lone goal in the 33rd minute settled the game in favor of the visitors. After the match, a number of Moroccan journalists in the press conference room were suggesting that Ramoreboli used black magic to beat Wydad. The comments didn’t go down well with the South African coach who furiously walked off the room, claiming that the journalists were lacking respect for him and his team. You are undermining me, you are saying we won because of black magic. Don't disrespect us, an angry Ramoreboli screamed at journalists during a post-match interview. Galaxy are now top of Group B with three points, two pints clear of Simba SC and ASEC Mimosa who settled for 1-1 draw at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Saturday, while Wydad AC find themselves bottom of the table without a single point.
