Côte dIvoire head coach Michel Dussuyer remains positive ahead of final 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Group A match against Gabon on Sunday at Huye Stadium. Frenchman Dussuyer believes his side is in good position to progress to the last eight after beating Morocco 1-0 on Wednesday, thanks to Yannick Krahire Zakri goal from the penalty spot. The Elephants picked their first win of the Championship after Hermann Junior Djeono was brought down in the penalty area by Morocco’s Abderrahim Achchakir. They had lost their opening game against hosts Rwanda, thanks to the lone free kick by central defender Emery Bayisenge. Dussuyer believes the nature of his side’s win doesn’t matter at this point in time. “We just want to win our last game and qualify for the quarter-finals, the style of play doesn’t matter, what we have to do is to win our game against Gabon. I am happy with three points we have got. “I believe we played well against Rwanda but we lost the game now we are focused on Gabon.” Dussuyer noted. Dussuyer added, “I think we were on the right track before the game against Gabon and this game will be hard but we will give our best because we don’t want to drop out of the tournament now.” Gabon on the other hand have picked just one point from their opening game against Morocco, and were defeated by Rwanda 2-1 in their second game on Wednesday.
