Editor, RE: “Amavubi coach Mashami cries foul after dismissal” (The New Times, December 17). Whether he is “convinced” or not isn’t very relevant. The real question is: “Does he ‘believe’ his dismissal is abusive?” If so, he should avail himself of administrative and/or legal options to get remedies for any injury if he can prove he has suffered as a result of an illegal or irregular dismissal. If their usual fictional Inspector Clouseau-like administration of our national team’s affairs is anything to go by, I don’t doubt that a half-decent employment lawyer would take them to the cleaners on the basis of the procedures they are likely to have used to fire Mr Mashami.
