There was largely low activity on the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) yesterday with Bank of Kigali as the only active counter, the daily RSE market report for Monday indicates. The bank recorded a total turnover of Rwf28,000 from 100 shares traded in one deal, and closed at Rwf280, unchanged from the previous trading session on Friday. Bralirwa and the other local firm listed on the bourse, Crystal Telecom were quiet yesterday, so were all the cross-listed counters – KCB, Nation Media Group (NMG), Equity Group, and Uchumi Supermarkets. Bralirwa last traded at Rwf200, while Crystal Telecom closed at Rwf104 during Friday’s trading session. The KCB counter last traded at Rwf330, Equity, NMG and Uchumi counters closed at Rwf334, Rwf1,200 and Rwf104, respectively. The Rwanda Share Index and the All Share Index were unchanged yesterday compared to Friday’s trading session to close at 157.36 and 131.91 points, respectively. At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 395,900 Bank of Kigali shares ranging from Rwf279-305 and an outstanding bid for 2,500 shares at Rwf265. On Bralirwa counter, there were offers of 504,900 shares at Rwf200-220 and no bids. Crystal Telecom had outstanding offers of 1,021,000 shares at between Rwf102 and Rwf107, but there were no buyers. There was an outstanding offer of 9,700 shares on the KCB counter at Rwf340 and no bids. On the RSE bond market, there was an outstanding offer of Rwf25million worth of bonds at Rwf102.5 and no bids.
