Amanda Kaneza, 19, was crowned the first winner of a reality show dubbed Rwanda’s Next Top Model 2015 on Friday night at Camp Kigali. After a week-long boot camp at The Manor hotel, 14 models who reached finalists were tested on different aspects like intelligence, grace, dignity, and beauty at the grand finale. The judges also considered the height, catwalk, public speaking, confidence and creativity among others. The contestants proved that the boot camp had prepared them to handle the rigours of the finale. After being crowned, Kaneza said she was grateful for having won the inaugural super model of the year competition. “I believe this is an opportunity to help the people especially the young generation whose biggest interest is in modeling,” she said. Different designers showcased their designing skills. Kaneza was awarded with an assortment of prizes including being the face of MultiActiv- a Serbian based company, and getting free beauty products from the company.
