Interpol, as an international police, was created in 1914 and is the world’s largest police organization with 190 member countries. It marked 100 years of existence in 2014. In 1914, officers, lawyers and magistrates from 24 countries converged in Monaco for the first ever ‘International Criminal Police Congress’ to discuss challenges of arrest procedures, identification techniques, centralized international criminal records and extradition proceedings.
