Dear editor,I recently heard the vice mayor of Karongi District in charge of finance and economy, Jean Baptiste Hakizimana urging Gacaca trials to be hurried. I do not agree with this idea at all. The trials must be handled with care and concern, and this is a thing that needs enough time. Let the judges therefore be given enough time to finish their noble work. You know they are dealing with people who committed crimes against humanity (genocide). They thus should, not to work under any pressure.Besides, we do not want any busy bodies from outside of this country starting to point fingers that justice in this country is flawed. We would rather take long and each one gets justice rendered, instead of hurrying through it all and botch it. NYAMIRAMBO
