President Paul Kagame, on September 22, met with Raymond Chambers, World Health Organization (WHO) Ambassador for Global Strategy, to discuss possible areas of partnership. The partnership opportunities will touch different sectors in terms of global health financing and innovation, according to the Office of the President. They two met on the sidelines of the ongoing 77th UN General Assembly in New York. Chambers is a philanthropist and humanitarian with focus in global health. Before his work in WHO, Chambers was appointed by the Secretary-General as his Special Envoy for Health in Agenda 2030. In this role he was tasked with catalyzing efforts and commitments required for the successful implementation of the health-related goals.
