Editor, RE: “Who is to blame for refugee crisis? Europe should answer” (The New Times, September 22). What an impeccable analysis! Everything you said is true; I will however add my little contribution specifically with regards to Syria. Some of those countries that do not want to see any refugees at their borders will never dare mention their own role in creating those refugees. As we all know, they are part of the war and probably their participation made it worse. They sent their most advanced military aircrafts to drop bombs on civilians held captive by ISIS. Assuming they are able to surgically hit the enemy as they often claim, civilians on the ground cannot tell whose bomb was dropped from an invisible military aircraft. All they know is that they are about to perish. To me any country that has sent jet fighters to Syria has a duty to take in thousands of Syrian refugees. Kelly
