Jean Paul Muhawenayo scored 14 goals as reigning national handball league champions Police defeated GS Inyemeramihigo 49-24 on Saturday in Ruvabu district to edge closer to retaining their title. Following the win, Police with 48 points from 20 matches, moved 12 points clear of second-placed APR, who have however, played four games less, ES Kigoma remain on third position with 33 points while Inyemeramihigo sit fourth with 25 points.
