RWANDAN POPULAR GOSPEL DUO, Vestine and Dorcas are set to launch their first album in concert dubbed 'Nahawe Ijambo Album Launch Concert', which will take place on December 24, at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (formerly Camp Kigali). 'Nahawe Ijambo' album launch was expected to take place on December 18, 2022, but it was postponed due to the newly released academic calendar which occupies the date. On Tuesday, September 20, MIE Entertainment CEO, Irene Murindahabi released a press statement informing the media that the album launch has changed dates. The reason why we changed the date [of the concert] is that we announce the official date of the concert before the school academic calendar was confirmed by REB, he told The New Times. He added: we announced that the concert will take place on December 18, but we were forced to shift the dates because on that day the students will be doing term one exams, and the artistes are students. We decided to put it on December 24, 2022, because we have seen that the first term will be concluded at December 23.” Murindahabi said that there will be no problems with Vestine and Dorcas preparing for the show, because during the current school holidays they are already preparing for the show. They have spent the entire vacation in rehearsals, he said. It is going to be their first big stage in front of many people since they released their first song in 2020. The group rose to fame in a short period of time through their songs such as 'Nahawe Ijambo, 'Adonai', 'Si Bayali', 'Ibuye' and others.
