Rwanda U15 coach Sosthene Habimana has urged his boys to leave Zanzibar humiliation behind and turn focus on their next game against Tanzania his side looks to bounce back in the ongoing CECAFA U15 championship. Amavubi starlets endure a poor start the CECAFA U15 campaign as they succumbed to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Zanzibar in the opening match held at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru on Sunday. Hassan Mwinyi opened the scores in the ninth minute before Mohamed Nassor and Lukman Omar sealed the win for Zanzibar in the 86th and 89th minutes respectively. It’s a result that left so many lessons which Habimana insists will help his side to perform better when they face Tanzania in the next fixture on Thursday, November 8. We are going to prepare and give our best to win our remaining matches against Tanzania and Somalia. We hope to return to winning ways and we will work hard to get points, the Musanze tactician said. The truth is that we were outplayed by Zanzibar and they deserved to win the game. We did not play well, this is a very big problem but, of course, it’s my job as a coach to address that, and fix the mistakes in our next match, he added. Rwanda are bottom of Group B table before they take on Tanzania who beat Somalia 1-0 in another group stage fixture courtesy of Seleman Kaniki’s strike.
