Today Bugesera vs Rwamagana 3:30pm Newly promoted Bugesera FC and Rwamagana FC face off this afternoon at Kicuciro stadium to decide the champion of the second division league. Both Eastern Province-based teams made a double first division promotion history last weekend when Bugesera FC defeated AS Muhanga by an aggregate score of 3-0 in the semi-final playoffs while Rwamagana FC edged Sorwathe FC 3-2. Speaking to Saturday Sport ahead of today’s clash, Bugesera FC head coach Noah Nsanziyinka disclosed that they are going into final game of the season with high confidence. “It’s the final and we are ready for it, we have hard enough preparations and the morale is high among the players, Bugesera FC is coming for the title,” Nsaziyinka warned. Rwamagana FC also is determined to put up a good show having earned a topflight division away from home to Sorwathe FC giving them a high self-esteem heading into the final. “We took the first step, which was earning promotion and now our target is be champions of the second division,” said Rwamagana coach Francois Kalisa in a separate interview. Kalisa revealed that he’s team leading scorer Bashir Kabajema with 11 goals may not make the line up after picking a hamstring injury. Kabajema was the hero as he scored the only goal for Rwamagana last week in a 1-all draw against Sorwathe in the semi-final first leg. Rwamagana and Bugesera FC will replace Etincelles and Isonga FC, who were relegated at the end of the just concluded 2014/15 season.
