Editor, To ensure law and order in the country is the primary role of the Rwanda National Police. This mission is not easy, especially as criminality evolves with technology. Today, we are facing new cases of criminality where criminals use ICT and other techniques which are not easy to detect. To the newly commissioned police officers, you are a lucky lot; you join a national police force that has successfully tackled the challenges that come with establishing a new institution and is now ‘exporting’ peace to other parts of the world. To all members of our Armed Forces; please maintain discipline as you go about your work and know that you are not only leaders of today but of tomorrow as well.
