Saturday Group B Nile Legends Vs JKL Lady 6pm REG Vs JKT Stars 9pm Rwanda Energy Group (REG) women’s basketball team will play against Tanzania’s JKT Stars in their opening game of the 2023 FIBA Zone V Women’s Championship on Saturday, October 28 at 9pm at Lycee de Kigali Gymnasium. REG was drawn in group B Alongside KPA (Kenya), JKT Stars (Tanzania), Nile Legends (South Sudan) and JKL Lady (Uganda). APR was drawn in Group A, alongside Equity Bank (Kenya), Vijana Queens (Tanzania) and Gladiators (Burundi). ALSO READ: Rwanda to host FIBA Africa Zone 5 Club Championship APR will start its campaign against Burundian Gladiators on Sunday, October 29. Competition System Clubs are pooled in two groups. Group A has four teams, while B has five teams. The teams in each group will play among themselves, and the top four will proceed to the quarterfinals. The four teams that win their quarterfinal games will advance to the semifinals where the winners will advance to the finals to vie for the trophy, while the losers will play a third-place game. The champions, the first and second runners-up will book tickets for the continental women’s competition in Egypt.
