Teenager Stephen Bigwi Manzi has been selected by the Rwanda Basketball Federation to attend a four-day training camp, scheduled for July 29 to August 1, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Stephen Bigwi Manzi The annual training camp, organised by Basketball without Boundaries, brings together talented youngsters from different African countries and is conducted by instructors from FIBA and NBA. Ferwaba chose Manzi because of his outstanding playing skills, courage and his height of 2m and 3 cm—all selected players must have a height of at least 2 meters. The trainers will teach them how to behave as basketball players in normal life, what they have do to in order to develop their game, how to improve their fitness and how they have to play in normal games and in competitions. The 17-year old is student at Saint André Nyamirambo and trains with league side Cercle Sportif de Kigali. He was scouted during this year’s inter-schools competitions. Last year, Rwanda was represented by Phenias Ian Mugabo and APR forward Fabrice Ruterana.
