Editor, Refer to the story, “Man killed after betting quarrel” (The New Times, March 20). This is why I think Government should seriously look into this vice called sport betting before it eats into the minds of our young people. In Uganda, betting in sports has foiled efforts to put youth’s hands to work. It has become so pervasive and an evil too big for the system to fight. It breeds criminals who do nothing but spend the day betting and then vandalize people’s property and homes at night. Its banning would create more good than harm. Hassan Kibirango
