HIS STYLE: Oversized clothes are not fashionable, says Nizeyimana

Phil Peter Nizeyimana is a presenter at Isango Star and hosts the Sunday Nite and Isango Na Musika shows. The Health Sciences graduate is a fan of beach volleyball, swimming and DJ spinning. The radio host shared with Society Magazine’s Stephen Kalimba some of his fashion preferences. How do you describe your style? Phil Peter Nizeyimana I like fitting outfits. For the first three days of the week, I always dress formally but on Thursday and Friday, I go back to my fitting shirts, casual trousers and moccasins. I have to look the part, depending on where I am but once I’m off duty that is it. I wear what I want. I once appeared on a news website for wearing a vest at night but I wasn’t working so it was okay. Do you have a designer? I have a guy called Boston at Bigshow boutique. When I have an event, he is the person I contact. He also dresses the Super Level crew. What’s your fashion weakness? Whenever I decide on what to wear and I don’t find it, nothing else will do, so I just grab anything. What are your kind of accessories? I like watches.When I leave home without a watch I feel like something’s not right. I like neck chains too, especially silver ones. Favourite clothing items? I like vests or waist coats and moccasins. What would you advise people not to wear? I don’t understand people who wear oversized bitenge (clothes made from African fabric). It is strange as it looks like the outfit is the one wearing the person. Any fashion advice? I advise people to wear clothes that fit them well. It’s also okay to work out a bit to enhance your look.
