Egyptian side Al Ahly are aiming to win the Caf Champions League first round, first leg clash against hosts APR FC on Saturday at Amahoro stadium. The Al Ahly director of football, Wael Gomaa, said on Wednesday, “We arrived here two days before the game to adapt to the atmosphere here and we hope to be in top form in front of them.” “We will give our best because we know we are facing a strong team in Rwanda, we have watched them but we always look for the win,” he noted. APR has been training at Amahoro stadium since Monday ahead of tomorrow’s clash, probably the biggest for them in the last decade, but interim head coach Vincent Mashami is confident his youthful side can pull off a win against the most successful club in the world in terms of trophies.
