Kigali Warriors seek to register their inaugural win in the VR Naidu Twenty20 tournament when they take on Impala Titans today at the Kicukiro cricket ground. KWCC captain Sadesh Kumar said, “We are putting the last game (a loss to Indorwa cricket club) behind us and concentrating on winning against the Impala Titans.” Kumar’s side will have to display brilliant batting when they face Impala Titans’ spin partnership of Theogene Gatera and Edward Pearson, who are known to be a handful for many a batsman. In the other game of the day, Right Guards will be up against Kigali cricket club in the afternoon with Hassan Zaki seeking to replicate his 2013 record breaking performance where he scored the fastest century in Rwandan cricket, off 36 balls against Right Guards. Confidence will be his utmost trait against Kigali CC that will be without the outstanding pair of Clinton Rubagumya and Eugene Haragirimana who signed for Kigali Warriors. Right Guards captain Eric Dusingizimana said, “We are still a strong side and we expect to put in 100% into this game because we want to win.”
