Low activity on the bourse

There was low activity at the local bourse yesterday, according to the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) market report for Monday. The RSE All Share Index, however, gained 0.03 points to close at 137.57 yesterday, while the RSI inched up 0.26 points to close at 236.68. The Bank of Kigali counter closed at Rwf296, up from Friday closing price of Rwf295. The bank traded 1,000 in one deal, recording a total turnover of Rwf296,000. The Bralirwa counter was quiet yesterday. It recorded a total turnover of Rwf5,761,000 from 15,000 shares traded in three deals on Friday. Its share price closed at Rwf385. Equity Bank counter was also quiet; it closed at Rwf430 on Friday last week when it recorded turnover of Rwf172,000 from 400 shares traded in one deal. No transactions were recorded on NMG, KCB and Uchumi Supermarkets counters. At the end of trading session, there was an outstanding offer of 5,100 Bank of Kigali shares at Rwf315 and bids for 36,700 shares at between Rwf292 and Rwf296. On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 169,400 shares at between Rwf380 and Rwf390 and an outstanding bid for 45,000 at Rwf365. Uchumi had an outstanding offer of 6,500 shares at Rwf104 and no bids. On Equity counter there was an outstanding offer of 50,000 shares at Rwf430 and no bids. On the RSE bond market, there was an outstanding offer of 2,000,000 bonds at Rwf106 and no outstanding bids for government bonds FXD 4/2014/7yrs (RW000A1ZTAM0).
