Armed men kill tourists in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park

An attack on a tourist car in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park on Tuesday, October 17, killed two foreigners and a Ugandan citizen. The DR Congo-based Islamist ADF militia is suspected to be behind the terrorist attack, according to the spokesperson of Uganda Police Force, Fred Enanga. The three were killed, and their safari vehicle burnt,” Enanga said in a statement shared on X. “Our joint forces responded immediately upon receiving the information and are aggressively pursuing the suspected ADF rebels. The United Nations-sanctioned armed group is also linked to killings of civilians in DR Congo’s Ituri and Beni provinces, where it has been based since the 1990s.
