Ten promising football talents have arrived in Munich, Germany, for the highly-anticipated Bayern Munich Youth Cup. The prestigious tournament, scheduled from October 18-23, is renowned for showcasing the best of European professional club football's rising stars. READ ALSO: 10 Rwandan football prospects set for 2023 ‘Bayern Munich Youth Cup’ The football hopefuls representing Rwanda at the competition include Héritier Gatare Ndahiriwe , Elie Ishimwe, Abdul Hategekimana, Alex Twagirihirwe, Djibril Sheja, Thierry Byiringiro, Anselme Ntwali, Edison Intwarane, Barthazal Ndayishimiye and Cedric Mutangana. They made it to the Bayern Munich Youth Cup after passing a nationwide detection held in September, attracting more than 10,000 participants from across the country. The team will be led by FC Bayern Munich Academy (Rwanda) head coach, Bernard Josef Hirmer and Assistant coach Thierry Hitimana. Upon arrival in Munich, the players will undergo rigorous training and preparation before battling it out for the Youth Cup against seven other teams from Argentina, South Africa, India, Mexico, the United States, Nigeria and host nation Germany. The FC Bayern Youth Cup World Final 2023 will take place at the iconic Olympiastadion, FC Bayern's former home ground, on October 21. Nigeria are the defending champions of the tournament.
