Ever heard of Rwanda’s Tom Close and Knowles? How about US artistes Dr Dre and Celine Dion? The answer is most likely ‘yes’ for most people. And the reason is simple: music. All the above names have made a name for themselves both locally and internationally because of their good lyrics. And the beauty about music is that you don’t have to see or meet the singer to access their music. It can find you in bed, class, taxi, beach, name them. That is why musicians are able to have millions of followers without meeting them. In the process they earn money, fame and market their countries. It is in that spirit that Nyundo School of Arts decided to introduce a music course last year. With the help of government, the school has been able to acquire the latest equipment and some of the best music instructors in the country. In our lead today, we share with you what life is like in the music school, why it is an option worth considering and how to be among the lucky few students. We also have our usual educative, informative and humorous columns. Be blessed!
