Three games in men’s category were played on Friday where Cercle Sportif de Kigali won 71-41 over University of Rwanda’s- college of Education (UR-CoE), APR beat KBC 91-41 while league champions Espoir thrashed 30-Plus 76-22. On Saturday, a total six games were played but the results were not yet known by press time. The competition, which is being used a pre-season tournament, is organized by the Rwanda Basketball Federation (Ferwaba) to pay tribute to the country’s Heroes. This year’s Heroes Day theme is “Ubutwari bw’Abanyarwanda, Agaciro Kacu” which loosely means ‘Rwandans’ Heroism, Our Dignity’. All 26 games of the 10-day tournament will be played at Amahoro indoor stadium and National Paralympic Committee gymnasium.
