Striker Bobo Bolla struck an 81st minute goal to give the Amavubi Stars their fourth Group Eight victory in five fixtures, leaving them on the verge of reaching the final qualifying round. The result also means that Rwanda has only lost once against Morocco. The result also pushed Rwanda atop of Group eight with 12 points. Morocco dropped to second spot after their game with Ethiopia got postponed by FIFA in the awake of controversy about the Ethiopian government’s interference in the country’s sports. Rwanda now only needs a draw against Ethiopia to reach the final qualifying round.
