NORTHERN PROVINCE BURERA — The visiting Burkina Faso officials have visited Mutobo Demobilisation centre, and the Peace and Leadership centre in Nkumba- Burera district. Led by Ambassador J Baptista Iboti, the group visited ex combatants attending rehabilitation training at Mutobo, and over 500 senior six school leavers who are attending political education course (Ingando). Addressing the students, Ambassador Iboti said that patriotism and hard work are a prerequisite in setting development pass. Augustin Nzindukiyimana, the Deputy Ombudsman, who accompanied them, said that the visit was aimed at sharing ideas on the work of the Auditor General’s office. “Whereas the visiting delegation from the Office of Ombudsman, are charged with overseeing the observance and protection of the constitution, they were interested in learning how Rwanda’s Ombudsman assesses the public servants’ wealth which, workers have to declare every year unlike in Burkina faso,” he said.
