Gentil Salita Kambale Musanze Football Club believe new signing Gentil Salita Kambale will boost the club’s target of a top six finish in the league this season. Since appointing coach Baraka Hussein in December last year as head coach, Musanze tasked him to guide the Northern Province-based side to a top six finish and now they hope the signing of Kambale will further boost their ambitions. News of Kambale signing was confirmed last week by the club management after the DR Congo-born forward was released by Rayon Sports. Speaking to Times Sport, Musanze FC president Benon Rwabugande, said, “It’s important to strengthen our team in preparation for a tough campaign for the rest of the season.” “We have signed one of the best strikers in the league and believe he will help us achieve our target in the second round,” Rwabugande added. Musanze FC are currently in 12th position in the 14-team league table standing with 11 points, three adrift of second from bottom side, Etincelles. Isonga FC are bottom with five points after 13 rounds of matches. Kambale featured for Rayon Sports for the last three seasons but his last appearance was during last year’s Cecafa Kagame Cup hosted in Kigali. Rayon were knocked out in the quarter-finals by archrivals APR. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
