Rwanda Energy Group (REG) has won the signature of American-Rwandan center Kendall Gray despite an earlier attempt by champions APR to add him to their roster. Gray, an experienced player who has featured for various teams in the United States of America, Africa and Europe is known for his defensive prowess, hard work, and competitiveness. The local basketball transfer window is officially open since the conclusion of the league in September and will run through the second round of the 2023/2024 season of the league. Teams are looking to strengthen their squads to challenge for the title and represent Rwanda at Basketball Africa League (BAL), an NBA-backed continental competition that happens every year, featuring top clubs across Africa.
