Police Handball club will shift their attention from their dismal performance in the East and Central African Handball championship in Nairobi to the Rwanda cup on December 27. The league champions were eliminated from the regional tournament after losing all their group stage matches to Urinzi, black Mamba and cereals respectively. Police Hand ball coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana says his team will use their Nairobi disappointment to spur them to success in the Rwanda cup. “The players were disappointed with the poor show in Nairobi but they have learnt from that and I expect us to continue our domestic prowess in the Rwanda cup,” Ntabanganyimana said. Police won six trophies last season including Liberation day tournament, Labor Day tourney, Carre D’ARS tourney, Genocide Commemoration tournament, Sulfo tourney as well as the league trophy. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
