Rwanda Energy Group (REG) women’s basketball team head coach Esperance Mukaneza has said that her team’s eyes are only set on winning the Africa Zone V Club Championship which is due in Kigali from October 28 to November 4. REG will, alongside league champions APR, be representing Rwanda at the basketball tournament which will attract 10 teams from six countries in the region. Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan will also be represented in the competition. The 2023 women basketball league runners-up are currently training at Lycée de Kigali Gymnasium as they gear up for the tournament.
